“Then I will give you shepherds after my own heart, who will lead you with knowledge and understanding.”

(Jeremiah 3:15)

Pastor Joseph Langub was born and raised on the farmlands of Basak, Surallah, South Cotabato, Philippines. The youngest of 14 siblings, he grew up surrounded by the values of hard work, humility, and faith.
As a young man, he experienced a personal spiritual awakening that led him to actively serve in his local church. His heart for ministry grew steadily, and after high school, he fully surrendered his life to God’s call by enrolling at Shekinah Bible College.

In 1997, during his final year in seminary, Pastor Langub was sent to Sunshine City Alliance Church (SCAC) in Manila, where he was the associated pastor. It was during this season that he met his future wife, Norlinda. They were married on April 9, 1999. After graduating from Bible school, Pastor Langub was appointed head pastor of SCAC, faithfully shepherding the church.

Relocating to the United States was never part of the couple’s plans—until Mrs. Langub was offered an employment opportunity with a telecommunications company. In 2004, the Langub family moved to Seattle, Washington. That same year, Pastor Langub was invited to speak at Grace International Christian Church—now known as Filipino Christian Church (FCC). Moved by a deep passion to minister, he committed himself to shepherding a congregation that, at the time, was on the verge of either dissolving or merging with another church, with only about 25 members remaining.

From that small, close-knit fellowship, God has graciously grown FCC into a thriving congregation. For 21 years, Pastor Langub has faithfully served as its pastor, leading with humility, vision, and an unwavering heart to glorify God and reach people with the Gospel.

God has blessed the Langub family with three children: Abbey, now in her final year at Seattle University School of Law; Aaron, an engineering freshman at the University of Washington in Seattle; and Arianna, a lively 6th grader.

Though they have made their home in the United States, the Langubs have kept their Filipino values and culture deeply rooted in their daily lives, speaking Tagalog at home, watching Filipino shows and sharing meals with beloved Filipino dishes,

Pastor Langub finds joy in tending his backyard garden, a pastime that takes him back to his early years in the farmlands of the Philippines.

He also loves cooking for the church family—whether during fellowship gatherings at church or when warmly welcoming them into their home.
